Transformation Class Week 2

Dear Student,

Today you will helping these snakes transform into adult snakes. As infants they have no color, you will with the supplies given transform them into adults by giving them color.
You are advised to complete this project in a area set up by your local professor and to wear work robes .

You will need to provide each student with there project pack. Also you will need to supply your own paint.

Transformation Class AKA Craft time

There is a 8 week plan for Transformation class aka Craft time, there will be 8 lessons.



Here is the letter the students will recive for week 1



Dear Students,



Today you will be transforming some pieces of foam and a close pin into your very own Owl.



After you have completed your owl he or she will need a name, this information along with your name should be filled out on the owl id card.



Then please give your owl to your local professor for placement in your owlery.

Dear Local Professor



Each Student will need a owl assembly kit, close pin and tacky gule ( all these items are in your kit). This class should take no longer then 30 min. Student's should also fill out there Owl Id card. Please pick a area of your school for your owlery. Post the Owls and there ID cards in that area.



Students should be encouraged to write to each other and post there mail to the correct owl. This is also a great place to post notes and to do lists from local and Hogwarts professors.

Owl Study Outline

Owls - 8 weeks long 1x per week about 30-45 mintues

1. Intro to owls - using libaray books and

2.Food Webs - what they are and make a poster

5. more time for skelton's and learn about what the owl ate.

6. Movie - Owl Cam the hidden world ( Netflix)

7. Owl report ( each child will get a different owl and do a short report with 5 facts about there owl)

8. Spare week for catch up if needed

Daily Plan for Summer

We have a plan for summer in place, dh thinks it is a great idea.

Camp at Aunt Margery's house this year will be a trip to Hogwarts.

Here is a outline of what our day's will look like, I will be starting on the daily lesson plans next.

7:30- Breakfast
8 am- room cleaning
8:30 - SPEW time ( the house elves have the summer off )
9:30- Practical Herbalogy ( Garden and yard work )
10:30- Monday ( potions - chemistry lesson), Tuesday ( Herbalogy- book work), Wednesday ( Magical Creatures - Owl study ), Thursday ( Transformation - Art and Crafts ), Friday( Astronomy ), and Saturday ( ? )
11- Math lessons
11:30 - Muggle Studies ( the Greeks )
12:30- Lunch
1-2 - Quite time ( computer use, write letters, Aidan takes nap )
2-4- Pool and Outside play
4- tea time
4:30- SPEW time
5-7- Pool and outside play
7- Dinner
7:30- SPEW
8- Shower ( if needed)
8-10pm nightly special

Nightly specials

Sunday- early night to bed - 9pm lights out
Monday- game night
Tuesday- flash light tag and firefly catching till 9pm
Wednesday- game night
Thursday- Movie night w/ popcorn
Friday- Star gazing and camp fire w/ snack, and if warm enough night- time swim
Saturday- early to bed night - 9pm lights out

Well that is the daily plan now to work out the details, plus the visits from the horses down the road and trips to the beach and maybe some other places I have in mind.

Summer 2008

This blog will be in addition to my regular blog, this is were I will post the plan for the summer and packing lists and so on. I will also use this site to share pictures with the family on all the kids are doing this summer here at the Eagle Nest.
